Portal IDEA is a Brazilian educational platform providing free online courses for professional development. In April 2025 an unauthorized data exposure occurred involving the service database. The incident resulted in the compromise of approximately 500000 user records. Exposed information includes sensitive credentials such as email addresses and mobile phone numbers along with passwords stored as MD5 hashes which are considered cryptographically weak and susceptible to cracking.
