In February 2025 the Indian website Irimee.in suffered a significant security breach resulting in the exposure of approximately 20000 user records. The incident involved the compromise of personal identifiers and authentication data. The leaked information includes full names locations nicknames email addresses phone numbers and dates of birth. Additionally passwords were found to be stored in the insecure MD5 hash format which makes them highly vulnerable to cracking and exploitation by malicious actors.
